TrekStor unveils creative storage concepts at IFA
DataStation pocket l.u hard disk in a leather housing and USB stick CO with bottle opener
Lorsch/Berlin, Germany, 27.08.2008 – TrekStor, leading manufacturer of exclusive MP3 players, external hard disks and USB sticks, will be unveiling two new and innovative storage products in the TrekStor Entertainment Hall 10.1 at this year's IFA fair in Berlin. The first is an external 2.5 inch DataStation pocket l.u hard disk with a leather-look housing and the second is the high-speed USB stick CO which can also be used as a bottle opener.
DataStation pocket l.u – exclusive leather-clad technology
The external 2.5-inch hard disk, DataStation pocket l.u, is distinguished by a modern leather-look housing. It is a simple and convenient memory expansion for any PC. The new hard disk features low power consumption, quiet operation and it doesn't need an external power source. A Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connection enables ultra-fast data transfer; the hard disk is pre-formatted, immediately operable and available with between 80 and 320 gigabytes (GB) of memory.
USB stick CO with bottle opener
The USB stick CO is a mobile data storage device in a solid, brushed aluminum housing. It is special because it incorporates an extra bottle opener function combining practical data storage with a thirst-quenching aid that is always to hand. The USB stick CO has a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connection for extra-fast data transfer (read rate: 17 MB/s, write rate 6 MB/s). It is bootable, pre-formatted and ready for immediate use without a driver. The USB stick CO is suitable for Windows® 2000, XP, Vista, Mac® OS X and Linux® from Kernel 2.6.x. It is available with 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 GB of memory.
Prices and availability
The new leather-look DataStation pocket l.u hard disk costs between EUR 69.99 and EUR 99.99 depending on memory capacity. The USB stick CO is available for between EUR 15.99 and EUR 39.99. Both will be showcased at the IFA and available in October 2008.
