Fan Edition to a Wi-Fi network? (Android™ 4.1.1 / 4.2.2)
a) Go to the application menu to "Settings". In the left menu column, you will find the option "Wi-Fi".
b) Touch "Wi-Fi". The menu option now appears backed with colour.
c) Push the on/off-switch for Wi-Fi at the right part of the colour highlighted option from "off" to "on".
d) The Wi-Fi function becomes activated and all available wireless networks are shown in the right menu column.
e) Touch the network with which you wish to be connected. An entry window appears. Enter the network password of the network selected and touch "Connect".
f ) The SurfTab® xintron i 10.1
Fan Edition now connects to the wireless network and beyond that with the internet. Via a browser you can surf the internet as normal.
-> If you have once established a connection to a Wi-Fi network, the Surftab automatically connects to it as soon as it is within reach. You do not have to re-enter the Password.
-> To save power, it is advisable to turn off the wireless function, if you do not need it.
How do I reset my SurfTab® xintron i 10.1
Fan Edition to factory settings?
a) Open the applications menu and tap ‘Settings’.
b) Scroll down in the menu and tap the ‘Backup & reset’ option.
c) Then tap ‘Factory data reset’ and confirm this option.
Note that selecting this option will delete all data that has been subsequently installed (apps, login information, e-mail accounts etc.). This does not affect data stored on an external storage device.

A mobile data connection can be set up with a mobile HotSpot via WiFi connection, e.g. by mobile phone with tethering/Hotspot function. That is how you gain access to the internet with your SurfTab® xintron i 10.1

It is possible that the installed version of the AirDTV app in your SurfTab is no longer current. To update the app, sign in with your Google account at Play Store. If the AirDTV app does not start automatically the update, you can search for „AirDTV“ in Play Store and install the latest version.
What can I do if I have a weak reception quality (unstable TV picture, hardly any channels found during the search etc.)?
The following measures can (separately or in combination) help improve the quality of reception:
Change the direction orientation of the telescopic antenna. An angle of 45° (exactly central between the horizontal and the vertical) is usually the best alignment to receive the widest possible range of signals.
Since the reception conditions can vary greatly due to local circumstances, it is important to try different orientation angles to find an optimal setting.
Use care when changing the orientation and simultaneously keep an eye on the signal strength / reception quality.
The reception quality can also be improved over an optional magnetic base antenna. Take particular care to always place the magnetic base on a metal surface with a diameter of at least 20 cm (e.g. on a car roof). The larger the metal surface, the better the reception quality.
Place the DVB-T Stick Terres droid including telescopic antenna / magnetic base antenna as far away from your body as possible.
Place the DVB-T Stick Terres droid, including telescopic antenna / magnetic base antenna as far away as possible from electronic appliances such as TVs or mobile devices. If you use the DVB-T Stick Terres droid together with a smartphone or a tablet, disable the WLAN and Bluetooth® function, the mobile data connection and the wireless coverage ("flight mode") on your smartphone / tablet. This may possibly improve the reception of the DVB-T signal.
Position the DVB-T Stick Terres droid, together with the telescopic antenna / magnetic base antenna out in the open. Windows and walls weaken the DVB-T signal, and therefore the quality of reception outdoors is usually much better than inside buildings.
What should I do if my SurfTab® xintron i 10.1
Fan Edition is not recognized by the Android Debug Bridge (ADB)?
Firstly, make sure that the USB debugging mode is activated in the SurfTab® xintron i 10.1
Fan Edition developer options. If the developer options are not displayed, go to "Settings" -> "About Tablet" and tap "Build number" until "Developer options" appears under "System" (under Android™ 5.1.1 as a new option in "Settings"). Ensure that you have already installed and configured the latest Android SDK.
Go to the Windows device manager and check whether there is a device marked with a yellow exclamation mark (!) that corresponds to your tablet. Right click this entry and select "Properties". In the "Driver" tab, click "Update driver's software". In the window that follows, select the option "Browse my computer for driver software" and enter the path where the unzipped TREKSTOR "android_winusb" driver is located. If you receive a message during installation that prompts you to not install this driver, confirm with "Install this driver software".
Windows and MAC OS X:
It is now necessary to configure the ADB for the TREKSTOR tablet. You must add the TrekStor Vendor-ID (0x1e68) to the "adb_usb.ini" file in the hidden ".android" folder. To do so, proceed as follows:
1. Open the command prompt and enter the command "echo 0x1e68 >> $HOME/.android/adb_usb.ini".
2. Now check whether the SurfTab® xintron i 10.1
