i.Gear Portplus Basic/Prime: The mobile docking station offers additional interfaces
TREKSTOR i.Gear Portplus opens the doors of Ultrabook and Co. for up to eight additional interfaces / New USB-C adapters in a high-quality housing retrofit missing ports in the twinkling of an eye
With the two adapters i.Gear Portplus Basic and i.Gear Portplus Prime, TREKSTOR solves the interface bottlenecks of many Ultrabooks. The slim form factor of thin notebooks often result in missing integrated inputs and outputs. The new adapters transform the USB-C port of these devices into a multi-interface in seconds. The Prime version of the i.Gear Portplus thus provides three additional USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 interfaces, a USB-C PD 2.0 port (up to 87 W, charging function only), a HDMI 4K connection (HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2) slots for VGA, LAN RJ45, Audio Out (3.5mm) and SD and microSD cards up to 512 GB. The silver door opener measures only 112 mm x 57 mm x 18 mm and is a lightweight of 130 g. If you miss two USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a USB-C PD 2.0 interface (up to 87 W, charging function only) and an HDMI 4K port (HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2), you can get the more compact model i.Gear Portplus Basic. With 51 g and about 97 mm x 30 mm x 11 mm, it is easily portable. The mobile docking stations come either in a silver or dark grey aluminium alloy and plastic housing.
The reduced design and the selected materials give them a high-quality appearance. The integrated connection cable measures 12 cm on the Portplus Prime and 9 cm on the Basic version. This ensures flexible handling and that adjacent slots remain accessible. The TREKSTOR i.Gear Portplus Basic is now available for sale at a suggested retail price of 49,99 EUR and the TREKSTOR i.Gear Portplus Prime at a suggested retail price of 79,99 EUR.
