Which options do I have to install downloaded applications from my PRIMETAB S11B on an external medium (memory card, USB stick etc.)?  

No, this is not possible. You can install apps only on the PRIMETAB S11B.

How do I access external storage devices (USB stick, SD card) on my PRIMETAB S11B?  

When you connect an external storage device, the PRIMETAB S11B displays a message to the effect that a device has been connected. Once this message is no longer visible, you can use a file explorer app (such as ‘ES File Explorer’ or ‘FileBrowser’ etc., available from the Google Play Store) to access and manage your data (copy, delete, edit).

How can I upgrade my PRIMETAB S11B to a newer version of Android™?  

If a firmware upgrade is available for your PRIMETAB S11B, you can download it on our homepage under ‘Downloads’. A firmware upgrade may also be downloaded directly to your device via OTA, depending on your device.

Tip: Do not install any firmware on your device unless it is provided by us. Installing external firmware or custom ROMs may result in a loss of all warranty claims!

How do I add more storage space to my PRIMETAB S11B?  

Your PRIMETAB S11B has a memory card slot. Insert a card in order to add internal storage to it. Please consult the technical details of your device to learn which cards are compatible with it (in the technical data on the website (most up to date) or in the detailed operating instructions). These cards can be purchased in any electronics store.

Please note that it is not possible to guarantee 100 per cent compatibility of microSD cards (see “Why doesn’t my device recognise my microSD memory card?”).

How do I connect my PRIMETAB S11B to a Wi-Fi network? (Android™ 5.1 / 5.1.1)  

a) Select "Settings" from the applications menu or the quick menu. This is where you will find the "Wi-Fi" item. Tap "Wi-Fi".
b) Slide the on/off switch from left to right.
c) All available wireless networks will be displayed in the following window.
d) Tap the network that you would like to connect to. An input window appears. Enter the network key ("Password") for the wireless network you have selected and tap "Connect".
e) Your Surftab will connect to the Internet via the wireless network you have selected. You can now surf the Internet using a browser app.

-> Once you have established a connection to a WiFi network, your PRIMETAB S11B will automatically connect to it as soon as it is within reach. It is not necessary to re-enter the network key.

-> To save power, it is advisable to turn off the WiFi function when it is not in use.

How do I download apps using Google Play on my PRIMETAB S11B?  

You must sign in using a Gmail account to use the Google Play Store on your PRIMETAB S11B. You can sign in to your account when you open the Play Store app for the first time. If you do not yet have a Gmail account, you can set one up now.

How do I reset my PRIMETAB S11B to factory settings?  

a) Open the applications menu and tap ‘Settings’.

b) Scroll down in the menu and tap the ‘Backup & reset’ option.

c) Then tap ‘Factory data reset’ and confirm this option.

Note that selecting this option will delete all data that has been subsequently installed (apps, login information, e-mail accounts etc.). This does not affect data stored on an external storage device.

How do I select my language if German is set as default language on my PRIMETAB S11B?  

After switching on the PRIMETAB S11B, the start screen appears. To set the user interface to the desired language, please tap inside the applications menu on "Settings" and afterwards on "Language & input". Tap now in the right column on the first field "Language" and select your language.

What if I do not find the menu item Language & input under Settings on my PRIMETAB S11B? In what direction should I swipe my finger across the screen to get to the menu items further down on the page?  

The displacement of the touch screen works in exactly the opposite direction as you would scroll down the computer screen using a mouse:  if you want to push the display on your PRIMETAB S11B down (for example to reach menu items positioned further down on the list, put your fingertips on the screen and swipe upwards. The display follows your movement and elements positioned further down on the display slide upward.

What solutions do I have if my PRIMETAB S11B is not responding?  

If you can no longer use the PRIMETAB S11B or if the device no longer responds to input, reset the device. Press and hold down the on/off button until the device switches off. Wait for about 20 seconds and then turn the device on normally.

Why does my PRIMETAB S11B don't charge? What can I do?  

Check whether your PRIMETAB S11B is properly connected to the charger. If your device still does not charge, connect it to your computer using the USB cable provided. This will allow you to determine whether the charger or battery is defective.

What should I do if my PRIMETAB S11B is not recognized by the Android Debug Bridge (ADB)?  

Firstly, make sure that the USB debugging mode is activated in the PRIMETAB S11B developer options. If the developer options are not displayed, go to "Settings" -> "About Tablet" and tap "Build number" until "Developer options" appears under "System" (under Android™ 5.1.1 as a new option in "Settings"). Ensure that you have already installed and configured the latest Android SDK.

 

For Windows:
Go to the Windows device manager and check whether there is a device marked with a yellow exclamation mark (!) that corresponds to your tablet. Right click this entry and select "Properties". In the "Driver" tab, click "Update driver's software". In the window that follows, select the option "Browse my computer for driver software" and enter the path where the unzipped TREKSTOR "android_winusb" driver is located. If you receive a message during installation that prompts you to not install this driver, confirm with "Install this driver software".

 

Windows and MAC OS X:
It is now necessary to configure the ADB for the TREKSTOR tablet. You must add the TrekStor Vendor-ID (0x1e68) to the "adb_usb.ini" file in the hidden ".android" folder. To do so, proceed as follows:

 

Windows:
1. Open the command prompt and enter the command "echo 0x1e68 >> $HOME/.android/adb_usb.ini".
2. Now check whether the PRIMETAB S11B has been recognised by opening "cmd.exe" and entering the commands "adb kill-server" and "adb devices" in succession.

 

MAC OSX:
1. Open the terminal window and enter the command "echo 0x1e68 >> $HOME/.android/adb_usb.ini".
2. Now check whether the device has been recognised by opening „Terminal“ and entering the commands "adb kill-server" and "adb devices" in succession.

What can I do if my PRIMETAB S11B screen flickers?  

This is a setting in the Development Settings of the Android operating system serving for programmers to visualize which part of the screen is being updated.
This setting can be easily deactivated via the menu item "Dev Tools" -> "Development Settings" -> "Show screen updates" by un-checking the box.

Why is no sound coming from my PRIMETAB S11B?  

You may have headphones connected to your PRIMETAB S11B. If headphones are connected the loudspeaker of the device is automatically turned off. Disconnect the headphones from the device to re-enable the speakers. If there is still no sound, check if the sound of the device is turned on and if the volume is set high enough.

Why does my PRIMETAB S11B just switch off sometimes?  

If the energy level of the battery falls below a critical level, the device displays a corresponding warning. If you ignore these warnings, the PRIMETAB S11B is put into sleep mode at a charge level of 6 per cent in order to counteract total discharge of the battery. Total discharge can lead to a situation where it is no longer possible to charge the device. For this reason, connect the device to the charger at this point at the latest in order to prevent data loss and damage to the battery.

Tip: Reducing screen brightness, closing all programmes or switching off the PRIMETAB S11B entirely can speed up the process of charging the device.

Please note that the battery discharges itself over time, even when you are not using your device. In order prevent complete discharge of the battery (total discharge) and the associated damage, please charge your device intermittently. Following a total discharge, it is necessary to charge the device for a long period until it is can function properly again. Total discharge can also lead to a situation where it is no longer possible to charge the device. For this reason, it must be avoided at all costs.

If you have not used the PRIMETAB S11B for a long period of time, charge it for a long period before switching it on again.

Why can't I turn on my PRIMETAB S11B?  

Perhaps the charge of the battery isn't enough to turn the PRIMETAB S11B on. Connect the charger to the device to recharge the batttery.

What can I do if the internal memory of my PRIMETAB S11B is full or almost full?  

To relieve the internal memory of your PRIMETAB S11B and free up memory space, you can save media files stored on the device (eg pictures, videos or text files) to an external data carrier (eg a USB memory drive or a suitable Memory card) or delete apps that are no longer needed.

Why is my WiFi not on the list of available wireless networks displayed on my PRIMETAB S11B?  

First of all, make sure that you have enabled the WiFi feature on the PRIMETAB S11B and that it is within range of the network.

If the desired network is still not displayed despite These measures, it may be that the visibility of the network has been restricted in the settings of the router (so-called "sppressed SSID").

Check in the settings of the router if this is the case.

To connect to a network with a suppressed SSID, go to the WiFi menu's settings and tap the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the WiFi menu.

In the drop-down box that appears, tap "Add Network", enter the SSID of the network and tap "Save".
